Fallbrook-bred, raised and sold Enchanting Lady made her presence known on the West Coast stakes scene when she trounced the field in the $125,000 Landaluce Stakes at Santa Anita.

Trained by Bob Baffert for Kaleem Shah, Inc., Enchanting Lady was the post time favorite and, after bobbling at the start, sat just off of the pace until the field turned for home. At the top of the stretch, Enchanting Lady took command and drew away to an impressive 6-1/4 length victory, stopping the clock at 1:03.94 in the 5 ½ furlong event.

By Tale of the Cat and out of the A. P. Indy mare A. P. Baby, Enchanting Lady was originally consigned at the 2013 Keeneland September Sale by Paramount Sales on behalf of the Randal Family Trust for $90,000. After showing significant promise as a two-year-old for Eddie Woods, she was sold at the OBS March Sale earlier this year for $650,000.

Enchanting Lady’s record is 2-1-1-0 and her earnings currently stand at $86,200.

Private Prospect remained undefeated on August 9 when he scored his second stakes victory in the $100,000 Prairie Meadows Juvenile Mile Stakes.

Bred by the Randal Family Trust and raised at the Randal’s Fallbrook Farm in Versailles, Kentucky, Private Prospect raced mid-pack for the early fractions before angling out three-wide to overtake the leaders. After ducking out sharply from the whip, the bay colt fought to the wire to win by a neck.

That was the second stakes victory in three starts for Private Prospect, who cruised to a 5-1/2 length victory last time out in the $75,000 Prairie Gold Juvenile Stakes for owner Mellon Patch, Inc. and trainer Michael Campbell. Both stakes wins came at Prairie Meadows.

Out of the Private Terms mare Private Deputy, Private Prospect is out of popular sire Discreet Cat. With the most recent victory, his record now stands at 3-0-0-0 and his earnings are 117,600.
